Inspired by the Brazilian volleyball shoes of the 70s, VEJA has reissued the Volley sneaker - its very first model launched in 2005. Features a black organic cotton upper and laces, suede and leather panels in black, VEJA's signature V logo at side in white and comfortable wild rubber soles.

Mindfully and ethically crafted in a high-standard factory in Porto Alegre, Brazil (a well-developed region in South Brazil), which has good working and living conditions, respect of worker dignity, and effective trade union representation.

MATERIALS
Upper made of organic cotton. Panels made of suede and leather. Logo V made of 26% Amazonian rubber, 22% mineral silica, 14% synthetic rubber and 38% others. Insole made of 11% Amazonian rubber, bio-based E.V.A. (42% sugar cane), 11% recycled E.V.A., 12% organic cotton and 14% others. Outsole made of 40% Amazonian rubber, 23% mineral silica, 10% recycled rubber, 11% synthetic rubber and 16% others. Welt made of 40% synthetic rubber, 22% mineral silica, and 38% others. Lining made of 100% recycled polyester tech fabric. Laces made of 100% organic cotton.

VEJA's organic cotton is cultivated in Brazil and Peru by associations that respect people and the environment, according to Fair Trade principles. In Brazil, cotton is organic and agroecological. This agriculture enriches the land after being cultivated by improving the diversity of species cultivated and water retention in the soil. In Peru, farmers grow certified organic and regenerative cotton. They receive support in their certification process and receive technical and financial assistance to improve their production.

CARE
The use of a washing machine is not recommended. Before wearing for the firs ttime, waterproof shoes with a spray adapted to the material and repeat this periodically. The canvas can be brushed with cold water and Marseille soap. Maintain the smooth leather of your shoes with a wet cloth and periodically with a specific product in spray or cream. Suede inserts can be maintained by dry brushing.

Generally, VEJA sneakers are true to size, so we would recommend going for your typical size. Alyssa wears a US 8.5 and wears the size EU 38.
